... Eefie's Beautiful Mess: Why did I start blogging?

Why did I start blogging?

One of the main questions you have to ask yourself when you decide to create your own blog; why do you want to start blogging? It’s important to think about this question to stay focused during the process. What do you want to write about? Which topics do you want to discuss? Do you want to be a lifestyle blogger or a beauty blogger?

I decided to write an article about this to clarify things for myself and to inspire new bloggers. Having a blog is so much fun and it can offer you so many great and beautiful opportunities! You get the chance to meet new people, to get inspired every day! Anyway, this is the full story behind my blog and why I started to blog in the first place.

❤ Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved to write…

As a little child, I loved to draw, paint and create stuff. I played with dolls, stuffed animals, cars and building blocks, but my favorite thing to do was to read and to write. Elementary school was a fun time, especially when the teacher told us to write poems or little stories. I loved it! I’ve always had a huge imagination, which helped me a lot during my school time!

Around the age of eleven, I learned about blogging and the freedom that comes with it. Writing about whatever the hell you want without anyone telling you what to do or what you can’t do?! It almost looked too good to be true, but I wanted to give it a try.

❤ My first blog.

The excitement was big when I created my first blog, even though it was a disaster. It was chaotic, I didn’t know how to make a beautiful lay-out and my content was terrible! I was young and inexperienced, so I can’t really blame myself. I shared makeup tutorials, wrote about my recent purchases and other things that kept me busy back than. I was really into makeup around that age and I wanted to become one of those beauty gurus.

I’ve deleted my first blog after a few months because I ran out of inspiration and I didn’t knew what to write about, even though that’s almost impossible when you have the freedom to write about anything you want. After a while, I decided to create a new blog, which also ended in a mess, just like my many other attempts to start a successful blog. But I never gave up and I’m glad I didn’t!

Instead of giving up, I searched around the internet for tips and tricks to improve myself as a blogger and I’ve learned so much about it! I strongly recommend you to do the same thing if you’re struggling with your blog. It’s important to improve and to become better every day if you want your blog to be successful. Learn from other bloggers, that’s the trick.

❤ Eefie’s Lifestyle.

After a while, I also discovered YouTube and I decided to make a channel. I started to make my own videos. It was different, but I loved it, even though I wasn’t really good at it in the beginning. And Eefie’s Lifestyle was born! My channel still exists and I still use it to share my new videos. Am I a YouTuber? No, not really. I barely upload new content, maybe a vlog now and then, but that’s it.

And of course, I also created a blog to combine with my channel. It went great, to be honest, but I still wasn’t very happy about my content. I wrote in my native language because I thought my English wasn’t good enough, but with a little bit more self-confidence and a lot of hard work, I was determined to make a change! And change is good!

Eefie’s Lifestyle inspired me a lot. I didn’t really had a goal in mind when I published my first blog. I probably didn’t even knew what I was doing… That happens a lot in my life. Eefie’s Lifestyle made me realize what I really want and what I’m capable of. Yeah, I’ve learned some important lessons, it almost shocks me when I think about it.

❤ The purpose behind this beautiful mess.

I wanted to create a beautiful place of my own, filled with happiness and joy, where you can go to if you’re looking for motivation, tips or social connection, combined with my own, personal journey. My main purpose is to spread positivity, to inspire people and to become a successful blogger. That’s why I created Eefie’s Beautiful Mess. I don’t care about money, although it would be amazing to make this my job, but that is not my definition of successful. I want to reach as many people as possible to create a fun community, that’s the dream.

❤ What about the name?

The name of my blog is a perfect description of myself. My head can be a big mess, even though I’m a very organized person. I hate crowds, it freaks me out! My blog gives me the opportunity to share my stories with a lot of people, without acting weird or awkward.

❤ My personal journal.

This blog is my personal journal, a reflection of my life, written down in words, mixed with beautiful pictures. You can expect a lot of personal posts and posts about happiness, self-care and a positive mindset, these are my main subjects. I also want to share some recipes, personal favorites and lots and lots of tips!

❤ Share your support!

I want to thank my friends, my family and my readers for their support and love! You can also join the community by following me and my blog on Facebook or Bloglovin’ to stay on tune, to meet new people and to get inspired every day! I would be very grateful!

Blogging is my favorite thing to do and I’m thankful for the things I’ve learned. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far. Having a blog is an interesting process and it’s amazing how something so small and innocent can grow into something big, beautiful and successful. Yeah, I know it’s not easy and it takes a lot of work. There is so much competition, that’s why you have to remain yourself. Stay true to who you are because you’re unique, believe in your goals and your dreams, be an example. Attract people with your personality and not by copying others, that’s not how it works. Create something spectacular, only you can make that happen.

Alright, enough pep talk for today, I’m sure you get my point. Thank you for your time and I hope I was able to inspire you with this post. I’m glad I shared this story. My next post will be about the people who inspired me the most to start a blog, another great story to look forward to if you’re interested!

Do you have a blog? Why did you start blogging? Are you a lifestyle blogger? Let me know! You can also leave a link to your blog if you want to. I’ll check it out as soon as possible!

Lots of love,
Eefie. ❤
